We had a great trip on Labor Day weekend. We went to a lake in Alabama with some friends from church. The trip up there on Thursday night was my worst nightmare. It took us an hour to get from Newnan to Carrollton. For those of you that don't know we live 15 minutes from Carrollton. We left the house around 7, and had to stop to feed Eden in Whitesburg (5 minutes from the house). Then, we got to Carrollton and stopped to get something to eat. David decided it was a good idea to eat in the car. So, after waiting 30 minutes for our food at McDonald's, we hit the road again. Then, we had to stop and feed Eden again somewhere near Bremen. After crying off and on for about two hours, Eden finally decided to fall asleep. Then, Noah started telling me that his belly hurt. Almost an hour later he vomitted in the car. We pulled over again to clean all that up. Needless to say, our two hour trip turned into almost a four hour trip. The ride home was much better. Both the kids slept almost the whole way. We made no stops and arrived home in less than two hours. I take that back. We did make one stop to re-read this church sign.
