I'm Going Home

We were actually able to take Eden home yesterday. As you can see, she barefully fits in her car seat. Not a problem we had with Noah. We got her home and all Noah wanted to do was play with his little sister. He even threw a ball to her but did not understand why she didn't catch it. The only problem was that Noah's first words to his sister was "Hush" because she was crying. When we asked him what he said to her, he said I said hush. At least he is honest. It is hard to believe that we have two children now. I haven't quite gotten used to looking in the rearview mirror and seeing two heads instead of one but both of my children are the best Father's Day gift I could have gotten.

While I am waiting....

Here are some photos of our first experience at the Braves game with Noah. Since I have plenty of time here at the hospital with Eden there is time to update the blog. Noah loves baseball but not sitting in the seat. We spent most of the game in the standing room section so he could run around and watch the game when he wanted to. Although we had a good time we will wait for him to get a little before coming back. That way he will know more about what is going on.

After getting settled in at the hospital, we were visited by Eden's cousins and big brother, Noah. Noah took the news better than we thought. He was very excited to see his new sister and wanted to hold her the whole time he was here. He did not realize his own strength. With some help, he was finally able to hold her for a little bit.

Eden has arrived

Well, we were not expecting Eden to come this soon but she had other plans. Due to a few issues the doctor wanted to go ahead and deliver. Thankfully the issues were not that significant and our little girl arrived perfect. We are hoping that we will be able to get out of the hospital by tomorrow so that we can bring her home. We hope to have more photos of her soon. The next stage is getting Noah to realize he is not the only sherrif in town any longer. We want to say thanks to all of our friends and family who prayed for us over the past few days because everything went perfectly. We can't wait for you to meet her.

Happy Birthday Noah

So today was Noah's second birthday. I can not beleive he is two years old. We kind of did a choo choo theme. Noah loves to watch "choo choo" and "tractor" and "dump truck". ( He has a Thomas video that has all of those in it.) I decided to make his cake again this year. I think it was a hit as you can see from the pictures below. When I told him we were going to eat his cake, he ran to the table and climbed right up. As you can see, the first thing he did was grab the tractor. He had a look of shock and amazement on his face when everyone started singing. It was too cute. We had been singing the birthday song all morning, and he was shocked to hear everyone else start singing. We had a blast today with family and friends. Noah got some great big boy toys, and he is no longer in need of summer clothes :) We want to say thank you to everyone for a great afternoon. Noah had a blast and was not happy to see everyone leave.

For Those of You Wondering

I went to the doctor today, and things seem to be better than last week. The doctor I saw last week said she was concerned because I had not gained weight in 8 weeks, and my fundal height was the same as the week before. So, she sent me to Tyrone to have an ultrasound done to make sure Eden was okay. I found out that at 36 weeks Eden was apprroximately 5 pounds and in the 12th percentile. She was measuring 33 weeks. That was a shock to me since I am use to hearing the words 95 th percentile. All week I have been praying for Eden to grow. Anyway, I got to see Heather (the midwfe I like to see)today. I have gained two pounds in the last week (I think I am the only person that would be happy about that), and my fundal height has grow a full centimeter. I left the office praising the Lord for letting this little (I mean little) girl grow. I think Eden may come on her own, instead of like her big brother because things are progressing faster than they did with Noah. I go next week for another check up and ultrasound. Let's pray that she has grown even more.
Well, Noah will be two in two days! We took him to the doctor a couple weeks ago because he was running a fever and found out that he is 35 pounds. Bless his heart he is a mama's boy and has gotten into the "old you" stage. Yes it breaks my back, but how can I resist.
